What actually happens at a ballot party?

Friends get together, go through the ballot race by race, and share who they’re voting for and why. Everyone leaves knowing their whole ballot.

Do the 25 people in my group have to come to the party?

No. Your voting group can be anyone, anywhere in the US: your mom in Ohio, your old roommate, your group chat. The party is for whoever’s near you, 10 or more guests.

Do I have to vote the way everyone else at the party votes?

No. Every person decides for themselves, including whether to vote in a race at all.

Is this connected to any political party or candidate?

No. Sway is nonpartisan, and hosting or attending a ballot party doesn't mean Sway endorses anyone.

Is how I vote kept private?

Yes! Your privacy and security come first, and we don't sell your data. Your voter registration is already public record, but your picks and contact info stay private, and you only share what you want to.
